Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, the outdoor lifestyle was ingrained early in Jill's life. She skied in the winter and played golf in the summer and quickly began enjoying both sports at the highest levels. In golf, however, Jill achieved what only a handful of people have – she won both the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, as well as the U.S. Women's Public Links Championship – the two most prestigious amateur titles in all of golf.
When colleges called, Jill couldn't resist the lure of the west coast and accepted a scholarship at the University of Southern California, where she was a two-time All-American and helped the team to a 4th place finish at the NCAA Championships in 1994.
Jill turned pro in 1994 and got her LPGA tour card in 1996. She has earned roughly $2 million over her career – on the course. Jill has also been an on-course commentator for the Golf Channel, ABC, TNT, and ESPN. She currently resides in San Diego.
